Overview
In collaboration with Woods Bagot Architects and Virgin Australia, Büro North developed the user experience package for the expansion of the T1 Virgin Terminal at Perth Airport.
The project focused on creating a seamless journey for passengers, from arrival to aircraft boarding, using universal design principles and comprehensive journey mapping. By integrating wayfinding solutions with Virgin’s app and coordinating with interior design, lighting, and branding, Büro North ensured an intuitive, stress-free experience for travelers. Key elements, such as vertical markers in the check-in hall, provided long sightlines and clear orientation, optimizing passenger flow and minimizing congestion.
This design solution not only improved efficiency but also catered to diverse passenger needs, enhancing accessibility across the terminal. Büro North’s approach transformed the terminal into a welcoming, user-friendly space, ensuring an efficient and enjoyable experience for all passengers.
