Overview
Büro North worked closely with BVN Architecture to develop a user experience and interpretation strategy for Myer’s new administrative headquarters in Docklands, Melbourne. Drawing on Myer’s rich 100-year history in retail, fashion, and culture, Büro North’s approach ensures that employees and visitors are immersed in the brand’s legacy from the moment they enter the building. The design incorporates historical theming, with each floor reflecting different decades of Myer’s influence, from art deco motifs to 1970s wallpaper designs. Key spaces, such as the Sidney Myer Room, celebrate the company’s founder with period furnishings and memorabilia. This layered storytelling approach integrates seamlessly with the workspace, creating a unique environment that fosters both nostalgia and a sense of continuity. Büro North’s strategy enhances the functionality of the office while offering a meaningful connection to Myer’s history, supporting a positive and inspiring workplace culture.
