Overview
Büro North collaborated with Parks Victoria to develop a user experience and interpretation strategy for Point Nepean National Park, a site rich with military, quarantine, Indigenous Australian, and natural heritage.
Our goal was to create a cohesive narrative that guides visitors through the park’s diverse history while allowing for personal exploration. By integrating digital tools such as QR codes and RFID technology, we provided multiple layers of information, ensuring visitors can engage with the stories that resonate most with them.
This strategy also addresses accessibility, with digital content available in the Visitor Centre for those with mobility challenges. Through a series of stakeholder workshops and visitor research, we identified key storytelling locations and developed immersive experiences, such as life at the Quarantine Station, that enrich the park’s cultural and historical significance. Büro North’s solution enhances visitor engagement while preserving the integrity of Point Nepean’s many overlapping narratives.
