Overview
Büro North collaborated with Woods Bagot to create a robust, fire-proof wayfinding solution for the Victorian Emergency Management Training Centre (VEMTC) in Craigieburn. Designed for Melbourne’s Metropolitan Fire Brigade (MFB) and the State of Victoria, the centre includes both academic and practical training environments.

Büro North’s wayfinding system ensures trainees and staff can efficiently navigate between the academic precinct and the simulated emergency areas, which include collapsed buildings, fire, smoke, and other hazards. The signage, built to withstand extreme conditions, is crucial in maintaining safety during high-stress training scenarios. By prioritizing clear, resilient communication tools, Büro North supports the centre’s mission to provide comprehensive and realistic emergency management training in a secure and controlled environment.
