Overview
The Snowy Mountains, Australia’s rooftop, boasts a unique alpine landscape and a dramatic climate unlike any other on the continent. This high country is an unmissable destination, drawing visitors year-round to its ever-changing seasons and unparalleled outdoor experiences. The region’s rich culture, authentic character, and endless opportunities make it a beloved home for many, encouraging exploration and adventure.

In collaboration with Aurecon, Büro North contributed to the development of the special activation precinct masterplan for the Snowy Mountains. Our role focused on leveraging user experience expertise to identify future commercial opportunities and align seasonal revenue streams with key tourism experiences. This strategy aims to transform Jindabyne into a destination that thrives beyond the snow season, promoting a year-round economy.

By extending economic and social sustainability, the masterplan supports local jobs, families, and growth, ensuring that the Snowy Mountains remain a vibrant and welcoming destination throughout the year.

"The team were critical in assisting with the development of a clear communication strategy and structure for the future development of the precinct, centred around a deep understanding of place and the experiences that attract people to the region. The way that Buro North interpreted the brief and understood the appropriate scale of influence became central to delivering a meaningful, robust and holistic development strategy".
