Overview
Büro North’s wayfinding strategy for the Elizabeth Quay redevelopment enhances visitor experience by seamlessly guiding people through this vibrant waterfront precinct. Connecting central Perth to the Swan River, Elizabeth Quay features a 730m terraced promenade, a newly formed inlet, and a distinctive island planted with indigenous species.
As part of this transformational project, Büro North collaborated with landscape architects TCL and ARM Architecture to develop intuitive wayfinding solutions that cater to diverse visitor needs.
The approach incorporates clear signage and spatial cues that direct people to key areas such as the island’s recreational spaces, playgrounds, and public event venues. Special attention was given to navigating the BHP Billiton Water Park, public art installations, and various dining and leisure spots. By prioritizing user-centric design, Büro North ensures that visitors can easily explore Elizabeth Quay’s offerings, fostering a sense of connection and community within this iconic cultural and entertainment hub.
