Overview
The Brisbane Airport Wayfinding Guidelines are designed to provide clear and comprehensive wayfinding guidance, improving the operation and delivery of wayfinding systems across this complex site. Our guidelines package aims to create an easy and intuitive wayfinding experience for both passengers and staff.
The design utilises yellow beacons that serve as prominent landmarks throughout the airport, ensuring that key information is easily visible and accessible. These beacons are supported by a strong graphic system that defines the layout and messaging of all directional signs, further enhancing visibility and comprehension.
Consistency in design is achieved through comprehensive rules regarding the scale, placement, and orientation of information, ensuring a seamless and easy experience regardless of the terminal.
The Brisbane Airport Wayfinding and Signage guidelines improve the visual clarity of wayfinding elements and enhance the overall operational efficiency of the airport. Büro North worked with BAC to describe a set of specific processes for the ongoing management and delivery of signage across the terminals.
By delivering a cohesive and user-friendly wayfinding system, the Brisbane Airport Wayfinding Guidelines set a new standard for airport navigation, ensuring a positive and hassle-free journey for all airport users.
