MYER, Australia’s largest department store engaged Buro North through BVN Architects to develop placemaking graphics for their new workplace in Melbourne’s Docklands.

The strategy assigned a decades heritage to each level of the building, and through typography and pattern making each era's retail aesthetic was represented. The graphics were router cut into the wall panelling ranging from simple sweeping curves of the 1930's through the complex patterns of the 1990's. Each era is layered with meaning and depth of detail to provide regular users of the building with richer information on each visit.
